Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

Developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is a 2004 action-adventure game. The game was released for the PlayStation 2 in October 2004, for Microsoft Windows and Xbox in June 2005, and for Mac OS X in November 2010. It is an open-world game where players can freely explore and interact with the environment.

San Andreas features a relatively linear plot that guides you through the game’s content following previous titles in the series. Its story, gameplay, and music received acclaim after its release. However, its graphics and control received criticism. Nevertheless, with over 27.5 million copies sold worldwide as of 2011, it is the best-selling PlayStation 2 game and the best-selling video game of all time.

San Andreas Story

Carl Johnson (CJ) is the protagonist of San Andreas, who has just returned to Los Santos, the first of three major cities in the game. Carl returns to life as a thug and is soon joined by characters from so many different backgrounds. Carl was returning to Los Santos because his mother was killed.

It appears that Los Santos is linked to the surrounding region by bridges and roads that were destroyed by an earthquake. However, unlocking the other two areas does not take long. There are many real-life references in the game, including cities, regions, landmarks, and a plot heavily based on real-life events.

The moment Carl hits the ground, he’s caught by a pair of crooked cops and thrown right back into the street life. He fled Los Santos to escape. Your first order of business in Los Santos should be to put your set back on the map. Grove Street Families, the gang you belong to, has fallen into a mess over the last five years. A series of missions lets you retake your territory by beginning with small actions and quickly progressing to more extreme acts like drive-by and other acts of gangsterism.

Gameplay

GTA: SA has its unique gameplay style despite following its predecessors’ footsteps. While the plot of the game itself is fantastic, you can choose to completely ignore all of the missions. Fortunately, you can give around the city stealing cars and causing general mayhem. Many mini-games are available in the game, including pool, low rider competitions, and casino gambling.

Stats are everywhere in games, and what you do directly affects your character. One of the most obvious is that you’ll grow fat if you eat fast food and buff if you do a lot of exercise. Most of your progress is made by completing missions for individuals, as in the preceding games. You may recognize some of these from previous GTA games.

Additionally, the game tracks a lot of other statistics. As you complete missions, you will earn a great deal of respect. Not all missions give you money, but almost all give you a respect bonus. With a higher respect rating, you can recruit more and more gang members, which is another new feature and a nice perk.

The Good

Excellent storyline.
Variety of missions.
Addition of game stats mode.

You can recruit gang members.
The Bad
